Early Morning Crash Closes I-264 Eastbound Near Bardstown Road
LOUISVILLE, KY — An early morning single-vehicle crash on I-264 East caused significant delays today, temporarily shutting down the roadway.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the incident occurred between Bardstown and Taylorsville Roads at approximately 5:30 a.m. Emergency responders from the Louisville Metro Police Department arrived at the scene, providing medical aid to the driver.
No fatalities have been reported; however, authorities confirmed that the driver sustained injuries. The highway has since reopened following the removal of the vehicle and debris from the roadway.
The accident remains under investigation by law enforcement. Witnesses reported that traffic was significantly impacted during the lane closures, leading to extended travel times.
