KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A vigil was held Tuesday night for Azariah Smith, a motorcyclist who died following a collision with an SUV on Gull Road.
The incident occurred last week when an SUV turned in front of Smith while he was heading east, according to authorities. The driver fled the scene but was later located at their residence.
Smith was a father of three and had been in a relationship for 11 years. During the vigil, family and friends shared memories and released balloons in his honor.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash; updates on the case are pending.
Kalamazoo Township Police have been contacted for additional information regarding the status of their investigation.
