CHELMSFORD, MA — Multiple injuries were reported in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 495 Tuesday night.
Around 9:45 p.m., Massachusetts State Police responded to the southbound lanes near the Hunt Road overpass. One individual was airlifted to a local hospital, and the wrong-way driver sustained life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation confirmed that the southbound side of the highway was closed at Exit 88 following the incident.
