FRENCHTOWN, Mont. — On Sunday morning at 4:51 a.m., emergency services responded to a vehicle-train collision on Beckwith Street.
The crash occurred north of Mullan Road, resulting in two injuries. Firefighters arrived to find two individuals trapped in a severely damaged vehicle.
According to authorities, first responders quickly extricated the most seriously injured passenger and transported them to St. Patrick's Hospital. The second passenger was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
There were no reported injuries to the train crew, and the freight remained undamaged.
The Frenchtown Rural Fire District is managing the incident. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
