ORANGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A crash on Sunday sent one driver to the hospital near East Grand River Avenue and Sunfield Highway.
According to the Ionia County Sheriff's Office, a westbound Ford Fusion crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an eastbound Toyota 4Runner. The driver of the Ford, a 27-year-old man from Ionia, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sparrow Lansing for treatment.
The 25-year-old driver of the Toyota, from Portland, was reported uninjured. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and required towing from the scene.
Emergency responders included Berlin-Orange Fire, Michigan State Police, Life EMS, and Portland Ambulance. The crash remains under investigation.
