MCMTOISH COUNTY, GA — Two individuals died Thursday in a motor vehicle collision on Interstate 95.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. when a 2006 Chevrolet Impala traveling southbound reportedly lost control near mile marker 66. The vehicle collided with a guardrail before overturning.

Authorities confirmed that both occupants of the Impala sustained fatal injuries. Their identities have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

Emergency response teams, including local law enforcement and medical units, arrived on the scene shortly after the accident. The two left lanes of I-95 were closed for several hours during the investigation and vehicle recovery operations.
