Two people were injured in a vehicle crash in Cole County on Saturday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the collision occurred at 11:05 a.m. on U.S. 50 at Lookout Trail.
According to the crash report, a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox crossed the westbound lane of the highway and was struck by a 2026 Hyundai Elantra.
An 18-year-old woman from California, Mo., driving the Hyundai, sustained minor injuries, while the 41-year-old driver of the Chevrolet from Holts Summit suffered serious injuries.
The Holts Summit woman was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
MSHP confirmed that both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
