BONDURANT, Iowa — A serious two-vehicle crash occurred Sunday afternoon, injuring two individuals, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
The incident took place around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Northeast 56th Street and Northeast 94th Avenue. It involved a dump truck and a passenger car occupied by two adult women.
Authorities reported that the driver of the passenger car had to be extricated from the vehicle and was later airlifted to a local hospital with serious injuries. The passenger was transported by ambulance, also with serious injuries. The dump truck driver was not injured.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the crash. No additional details have been released.
