TOWN OF OREGON, Wis. — A tragic single-vehicle crash resulted in the deaths of two individuals Sunday night in the Town of Oregon. The accident occurred at the intersection of Glenway Road and Bell Brook Road around 8:55 p.m.
Responding to the scene were deputies from the Dane County Sheriff's Office, alongside personnel from the Oregon Police Department, Fitchrona EMS, Oregon EMS, Brooklyn EMS, and Belleville Fire. According to Sgt. Nicole Schomer, the vehicle was heading north on Glenway Road when it lost control, leading to the fatal outcome.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities closed the road for approximately four hours to allow investigators to gather evidence and establish the circumstances surrounding the crash. The names of those who lost their lives have not been made public as officials wait to inform their families.
