PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A tractor-trailer carrying milk crashed early Saturday morning in Putnam County.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. near the U.S. 35 South and Interstate 64 interchange, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. The tractor-trailer lost control, slid off the roadway, and overturned into a ditch.
Emergency crews worked to extricate the trapped driver. The driver's condition remains unknown at this time.
Authorities reported that the westbound I-64 on-ramp was temporarily closed but has since reopened. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
