CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — Two northbound lanes of Interstate 77 are closed following a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon.
The collision occurred just before 2 p.m. near the Smith Street on-ramp, according to Kanawha County dispatchers.
The crash involved a truck and a tractor-trailer. Authorities reported the driver of the truck was alert but in critical condition at the scene.
Emergency services are managing the situation, and the left two lanes remain closed as crews work.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution and avoid the area if possible.
