RICHMOND − A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 95 north resulted in two fatalities and multiple injuries on Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.
Emergency responders received reports of the crash at approximately 2:10 p.m. between exits 74 and 75, involving four vehicles, including a commercial truck.
First responders found one individual deceased at the scene and another pronounced dead later at a nearby hospital. Several others sustained injuries and were transported for medical treatment.
Authorities confirmed lane closures on the northbound side of the interstate as crews worked to clear the wreckage and conduct an investigation.
No additional details regarding the identities of those involved or the cause of the crash have been released.
