Three children injured in Amish buggy crash in Wisconsin

TOWN OF SCOTT, Wis. (WKOW) — A collision between an Amish buggy and a box truck resulted in injuries to three children Wednesday morning at 8:14 a.m. at the intersection of CTH SS and Vaughn Road.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, the buggy, traveling eastbound, failed to yield the right-of-way and pulled in front of the northbound box truck. Emergency personnel responded promptly following a 911 call made by the truck's driver.

The injured children were transported to American Family Children's Hospital and are expected to make a full recovery. The driver of the box truck is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, and authorities confirmed that the horse pulling the buggy was unharmed.

The sheriff's office stated that the names of those involved will not be released at this time.
