WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ind. — A 17-year-old was found dead in a crashed vehicle Saturday evening, following a reported shooting.
Authorities received an automated crash alert around 7:30 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Big Springs Road, approximately nine miles south of Salem. The deceased has been identified as Hunter Blaine Rowley, of Pekin, who was discovered in a heavily wooded area.
Investigation into the circumstances leading to the shooting and crash is ongoing. Indiana State Police stated detectives are working to identify and interview all individuals involved. There is currently no indication of a public threat, though further details remain undisclosed.
