BANGOR, ME — A 15-year-old boy died Saturday afternoon in an ATV crash on the Cross Road ATV trail in Presque Isle.
According to Mark Latti, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, the teen was riding a 2007 Yamaha Grizzly around 4:45 p.m. when the incident occurred. He was the third-to-last rider in his group.
Authorities reported that the ATV rolled over, striking the boy. Despite the efforts of rescuers to revive him, the teen succumbed to his injuries.
The crash is currently under investigation. Further details will be released as they become available.
