ATV Rollover in Berwick Claims One Life
A man died Thursday evening in Berwick after his ATV rolled over on a trail near Hall Road.
Tyler Anderson, 31, of Berwick, was operating a Polaris RZR 900 with passenger Keri Roche, 33, when they veered off the trail around 6:15 p.m. and struck an embankment. According to Mark Latti, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, the ATV rolled over, critically injuring Anderson.
Anderson was airlifted to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. Roche sustained non-life-threatening injuries to her face.
Authorities are investigating the incident and believe speed may have been a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
