Spider Blamed for Florida Car Crash
COOPER CITY, Fla. (AP) — A car crash occurred Tuesday in Cooper City, attributed to a spider causing a driver to lose control.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the incident involved a single vehicle that struck a light pole, which subsequently fell into the roadway. The crash took place in the suburbs northwest of Miami.
Emergency responders reported damage to the front end of the white car, but additional details about the incident remain limited. The identity of the spider involved has not been confirmed, but Mike Jachles, a spokesman for the Broward Sheriff's Office, humorously noted it was “not #itsybitsy” in a tweet.
No injuries or fatalities have been reported as a result of the crash. An investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
