MOUNT PLEASANT, SC — A boating incident on April 25 involved a group of seven individuals in Shem Creek, resulting in one fatality and six non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), the vessel struck a dock in an unspecified location. The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Evan Greenleigh, a mechanical engineering major from Bethesda, Maryland, enrolled at The Citadel.
