INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A fatal crash on the northeast side of the city left one person dead Saturday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched at 4:21 p.m. to the 6400 block of East 46th Street, near Shadeland Avenue, following reports of a two-vehicle collision with injuries. Both drivers remained at the scene.
One driver was transported to a hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced dead. The deceased has been identified as 53-year-old Robert Anderson.
Authorities stated that impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash. No further details were released, but the fatal crash investigation team is currently handling the case.
