NORTH AUGUSTA — A Salley man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on the I-20 westbound on-ramp from I-520 Saturday night, authorities reported.
The crash occurred at 9:06 p.m. when a 2012 Toyota Camry struck a guardrail, resulting in the partial ejection of the driver. The driver, identified as Albert Stroman Jr., 45, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:48 p.m., according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables.
The North Augusta Department of Public Safety and the coroner's office are currently investigating the incident. Toxicology results are pending. No other injuries were reported, and there were no lane closures due to the accident.
