A scooter rider was injured in a hit-and-run incident in Denver on Friday night, prompting an investigation by police.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. near 15th and Market streets when the rider was struck by a black 2018 Nissan Maxima with Colorado license plate CYW-Y89, according to authorities. The driver, described as a white woman with blonde hair, fled south on Auraria Parkway.
Emergency services responded to the scene; however, details on the rider's injuries have not been disclosed. Police noted that the Nissan may have damage to the driver's side rear door.
