Motorcyclist hospitalized after suspected hit-and-run crash in Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A crash involving a motorcycle left one person with serious injuries early Monday morning.

Just after 4:30 a.m. on August 18, officers were dispatched to the intersection of 92nd Ave. and Westminster Blvd. Preliminary investigations revealed that a second vehicle was involved but fled the scene. Authorities later located the suspected vehicle abandoned at Harlan Street and Central Avenue.

Charges against the driver are pending, and the investigation is ongoing. The Westminster Police Department urges anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 303-658-4360.

In the aftermath of the crash, the intersection of 92nd Ave. and Westminster Blvd. was closed for the investigation, resulting in delays for eastbound traffic on 92nd Ave. and north and southbound traffic on Westminster Blvd. All roads have since reopened.
