LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A pickup truck driver was killed in a crash on the ramp from Story Avenue to I-64 West early Saturday morning.
According to Louisville Metro Police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 3:30 a.m. Preliminary investigations indicate the driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with the guardrail. Emergency crews pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident. The LMPD Traffic Unit is conducting an ongoing investigation. The coroner will release the driver's identity once his next of kin has been notified.
The roadway is currently open, but police advise drivers to exercise caution while passing through the area due to ongoing investigation.
