Las Vegas (KSNV) — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a collision on Nellis Boulevard near Bonanza last week.
According to an arrest report, Parker Carreras was speeding and drove his vehicle into the pedestrian, who was outside a marked crosswalk. Authorities charged Carreras with felony reckless driving resulting in death.
Carreras admitted to police that his vehicle had balding tires and a malfunctioning anti-lock braking system. He also acknowledged awareness of frequent jaywalking in the area.
Carreras is currently out on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on October 13.
