One dead, two injured in Lancaster motorcycle crash, authorities say.
LANCASTER, Mass. —
A motorcycle accident involving two vehicles occurred on I-90 northbound near mile marker 17.6 at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
According to Massachusetts State Police, a 50-year-old man from Holden, the motorcyclist involved, was taken to Leominster Hospital and later pronounced dead.
His name is being withheld pending family notification.
One driver was transported with serious injuries, while another driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The northbound lanes of I-90 were closed for several hours during the investigation and reopened at 7 p.m.
Authorities confirmed that the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section is investigating the cause of the crash.
