I-95 North Closed Due to Serious Crash Near Massachusetts-New Hampshire Border
SEABROOK, NH — Interstate 95 north was temporarily shut down Tuesday morning for a serious accident investigation, impacting traffic near the Massachusetts-New Hampshire border.
According to the Salisbury Police Department, the closure began around 8 a.m. as New Hampshire State Police launched an investigation into the crash. The highway remained closed for several hours, causing significant backups on Interstate 495 through Salisbury and Amesbury.
New Hampshire State Police reported at 8:46 a.m. that the crash occurred at mile marker 1.4 in Seabrook. Traffic was being diverted off Exit 1, and authorities advised drivers to avoid the area to minimize congestion. By 8:51 a.m., the left two lanes had reopened, and all lanes were confirmed open by 10:16 a.m.
No immediate information regarding injuries has been released. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
