Clermont County Crash Claims One Life, One Injured
One man died and another was injured in a two-vehicle accident on State Route 125 in Tate Township on November 10, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Bruce Schatzman, 51, of Amelia, succumbed to his injuries at Bethesda North Hospital. Ernest Boone, 76, of Georgetown, was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center; his injuries are reported as non-life-threatening.
The crash occurred around 8:16 a.m. when Schatzman, driving a 2010 Suzuki Equator southeast on State Route 125, lost control of his vehicle. His car crossed into oncoming traffic and was subsequently struck by Boone's 2022 Ford Maverick. Both vehicles veered off the north side of the roadway and collided with a guardrail.
Emergency response included personnel from the Clermont County Sheriff's Office, Bethel Police Department, Bethel-Tate Fire and EMS, Monroe EMS, and the Ohio Department of Transportation, who assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol at the scene.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
