MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Rutherford County school bus was involved in a crash with a pickup truck Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. near Manchester Pike and Fieldstone Drive while students were en route to a field trip at Buchanan Elementary. No injuries were reported among the students or the bus driver, while the pickup truck driver was transported to a nearby hospital.
Authorities issued notifications to parents and guardians, advising that they could pick up their children from the school with proper identification.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and lane closures were in effect during the response.
