Motorcyclist dies in crash with sedan in Auburndale.

AUBURNDALE, Fla. — A motorcycle crash early Saturday morning resulted in the death of the motorcyclist at the Magnolia Avenue and McKean Street overpass.

According to the Auburndale Police Department, the collision occurred around 12:41 a.m. involving a sedan and a motorcycle traveling westbound. The motorcyclist was from the vehicle and was at the scene.

Authorities stated the driver of the sedan sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

The Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the cause of the crash. This case remains ongoing.

Rep. Juan Carlos Porras (R-Miami) is considering legislation to eliminate homeowners associations (HOAs) in response to growing public discontent over increasing fees, disputes, and legal issues associated with HOAs.

Porras expressed, “It might just be time we take a look if HOAs are really even necessary,” amid rising complaints from Floridians regarding costly lawsuits and arrests linked to HOA conflicts. He stated that he is contemplating filing a bill in the next legislative session to address the issue on a statewide level.
