JOHNSTOWN, Wis. (WKOW) — A 44-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning in the Town of Johnstown.
The incident occurred around 6:31 a.m. on E CTH A, east of N CTH M, according to the Rock County Sheriff's Office. The man was riding a Honda motorcycle eastbound when he failed to negotiate a left curve, struck a mailbox, and then hit a power pole, resulting in his ejection from the motorcycle.
Emergency responders from the Rock County Sheriff's Office and the Walworth County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, where the man was pronounced dead. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
