A Durham man died early Wednesday following a crash involving his motorcycle and two vehicles on Fayetteville Street late Tuesday.
The accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on October 3, 2023, near the intersection with South Driver Street. According to authorities, the man was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly after midnight.
Emergency responders, including the Durham Police Department, arrived on the scene to assist. Two other individuals involved in the crash sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated on-site before being transported to local medical facilities.
Witnesses reported that the crash resulted in significant debris, prompting a temporary closure of the roadway as crews conducted an investigation and cleared the area. Towing services were called to remove the damaged vehicles.
