Metro Transit Police Car Involved in Collision with Light Rail in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A Metro Transit police car collided with a light rail vehicle on Friday at approximately 5 p.m. near South 5th Street and South 5th Avenue.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident occurred while officers were transporting a suspect. Both the officer and the suspect sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital. No injuries were reported among the occupants of the light rail.
