EAST GRAND FORKS, MN — A woman died in a crash involving a semi-truck on Thursday morning.
At approximately 9 a.m., a collision occurred between a Chevy Equinox traveling west on County Road 17 and a northbound semi-truck on Highway 2, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The driver of the Equinox, 67-year-old Kathy May Wimpfheimer, was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi-truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated on-site.
Emergency responders from the Minnesota State Patrol and local agencies arrived promptly to assist and manage the scene. No lane closures were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
