OTSEGO COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) — On Aug. 10, a fatal crash occurred near Badger Parkway in Bagley Township, allegedly due to a medical episode.
Authorities reported that a 68-year-old man from Mancelona was driving east on Milbocker Road when his vehicle began to swerve. The vehicle drifted off the road and crashed into a tree.
When Michigan State Police arrived on the scene, the driver was found unconscious. Emergency responders administered life-saving measures before transporting him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to state police, the preliminary investigation suggests the man experienced a medical event while driving, contributing to the accident. No additional vehicles were involved, and the investigation is ongoing.
