Man hospitalized following crash that closed westbound lanes of I-84 in Nampa.

Nampa, Idaho — An injury crash occurred on I-84, closing westbound lanes for approximately 90 minutes on Sunday morning.

The incident took place at 5:48 a.m. at the westbound off-ramp for the Karcher Road exit. According to the Idaho State Police, a 5 collided with a Truck-Tractor and a Great Dane Trailer while traveling westbound.

The driver of the , a 23-year-old male from Ontario, was transported to the hospital by ground ambulance. The was driven by a 54-year-old male from Beaverton, Oregon, who was not injured and did not require transport.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, as confirmed by ISP. Emergency responders from the Nampa Police Department, Nampa Fire Department, and Canyon County Paramedics assisted at the scene.

Westbound lanes on I-84 were closed while crews worked to clear the wreckage. The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
