LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A man was charged with DUI following a vehicle crash in Ephrata Township on April 15.
The incident occurred at 12:13 a.m. in the 800 block of East Main Street. Christopher Ulrich, 49, was driving a Jeep Wrangler when he struck a pedestrian crossing sign and crossed onto the center median.
The vehicle subsequently caught fire after the collision. Authorities reported that Ulrich exhibited signs of impairment but was unharmed.
A breath test revealed Ulrich's blood alcohol concentration at .168%, which is more than double Pennsylvania's legal limit.
He faces two DUI misdemeanor charges and three traffic citations, according to court documents. Ulrich is awaiting a preliminary arraignment.
