Grapevine, TX – Early Friday Morning Crash Involves Multiple Vehicles

Grapevine Police are investigating a serious crash that occurred just before 2 a.m. on the intersection bridge above Grapevine Mills Parkway.

Three vehicles were involved, leaving extensive damage, including a snapped power pole and debris scattered across the roadway. A black Ford Focus collided with two other vehicles at the intersection.

According to police, the driver and three passengers of the Ford Focus were transported to the hospital with serious injuries, one of which is possibly life-threatening. The driver of a silver Hyundai Elantra was also with serious injuries, while the driver of a white Ford Taurus sustained no injuries.

Investigators from Euless, Coppell, and Grapevine are on the scene using specialized technology to map the crash circumstances. Preliminary reports suggest that alcohol may have been a factor, according to an investigator.

Traffic lights at the intersection are out due to the crash; however, power remains on for nearby businesses and apartments. The roadway will remain closed as the investigation continues and crews repair the damaged pole and traffic control box.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes for their morning commute. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
