LaPlace Man Killed in Tangipahoa Parish Crash
PONCHATOULA, La. — A LaPlace man died in a crash on I-55 in Tangipahoa Parish on Monday night.
According to Louisiana State Police, the incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. just north of LA Highway 1050. Kylen Wilkens, 37, was driving south when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a closed DOTD Scale House.
Wilkens died at the scene from his injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
