NEW ORLEANS — A woman was killed in a crash in the Lower Ninth Ward on Thursday, authorities said.
Police responded to the intersection of Egania Street and North Claiborne Avenue at approximately 12:15 a.m. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the site of the incident. The New Orleans Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation. Further details have not yet been released.
