GRETNA, La. — US-90 eastbound reopened Wednesday morning following a crash involving a dump truck.
The incident, reported just before 7 a.m., resulted in a fuel spill that blocked two right lanes on the Elevated Westbank Expressway. Heavy backups were reported, with delays exceeding one hour.
Louisiana State Police and DOTD Roadside Assistance responded to the scene at US-90-BR Eastbound near Terry Pkwy, heading toward the East Bank. The Department of Transportation and Development also provided assistance.
Authorities advise drivers to exercise caution in the area until all backups are cleared.
