JACKSON, Miss. — A police chase ended with a vehicle crashing into the Jackson Police Department Internal Affairs building on Amite Street Tuesday evening.
According to authorities, officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Bobby Rush Boulevard just before 8 p.m. The driver did not comply, leading to a pursuit that resulted in the vehicle crashing into the building's side.
The impact caused significant damage, leaving a large hole in the structure. The driver, identified as a juvenile, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.
