KNOXVILLE, Iowa — A skydiver is in critical condition following a crash into a field in Marion County on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred just before 11:30 a.m. near Highway 14 and 130th Street. Authorities reported that paramedics initially faced difficulties accessing the remote location but successfully reached the injured skydiver.
The individual was subsequently transported by helicopter to a trauma center in Des Moines, according to official statements. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
