MURRAY, Iowa — A Grand River man has changed his plea to guilty following a deadly hit-and-run crash involving a horse and buggy in November.
Jacob Wright, 41, admitted to knowingly leaving the scene of the crash and failure to assist, according to court documents. The incident resulted in the death of 16-year-old Elmer Bontrager from Murray.
Wright, who initially pleaded not guilty, is scheduled for sentencing on March 26.
