RIDGEVILLE, SC — Both lanes of Interstate 26 eastbound near the Volvo flyover bridge reopened on the morning of Aug. 18.
The highway was closed for approximately one hour near mile marker 190 following an early morning collision, according to traffic cameras maintained by the state.
Traffic moving toward Charleston is gradually improving, although it remains slow near Volvo Car Drive before returning to normal speed.
No confirmed details regarding injuries or the cause of the collision have been released. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
