WASHINGTON (TNND) — Rudy Giuliani, 81, is recovering from fractured vertebrae and other injuries sustained in a car crash on Saturday night in New Hampshire.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, Giuliani was a passenger in a rented Bronco driven by his spokesperson, Ted Goodman, when a Honda HR-V, operated by a 19-year-old woman, struck them from behind. The collision occurred late Saturday evening and resulted in both vehicles colliding with the highway median.

Troopers reported that both vehicles suffered heavy damage. Goodman and the Honda driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Giuliani was taken to a trauma center, where he was treated for a fractured thoracic vertebra, multiple lacerations, and injuries to his left arm and lower leg. Ragusa, a spokesperson, stated that Giuliani is in good spirits and recovering well.

Prior to the crash, Giuliani was assisting a woman who had reported a domestic violence incident, but Ragusa clarified that the crash was random and unrelated to that situation. He emphasized that Giuliani was in a rental car at the time and did not disclose his identity.

Andrew Giuliani, his son, thanked those who reached out regarding his father's condition in a post on X. Ragusa reassured the public, stating, “He'll be released in a few days… He'll be back to business as usual this week.”
