Three Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-335 Near Topeka
TOPEKA, KS – A multi-vehicle accident occurred on I-335 north of Topeka at approximately 2:41 p.m. on Saturday, resulting in three injuries.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash involved two cars and a pickup truck. Emergency responders from the Shawnee County Fire Department and local police units arrived swiftly to provide medical assistance.
Witnesses reported seeing several individuals trapped in vehicles, prompting the need for specialized rescue operations. Two of the injured were transported to Stormont Vail Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the third individual's condition is currently unstable.
Authorities closed two lanes of the interstate to facilitate emergency response and vehicle removal. Towing services were engaged to clear the roadway, which caused significant delays for drivers headed northbound.
