HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Two teenagers, including a Glen Allen High School student, were killed in a crash on Fords Country Lane on Monday night.
According to Henrico Police, officers responded to the scene near Nuckols Road around 11 p.m. and discovered a Tesla Model Y with significant damage.
The victims were identified as 17-year-old Soham Desai and another male teenager, both found on the ground and pronounced dead at the scene. A third occupant suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Investigators stated the vehicle was traveling west when it veered off the left side of the road and struck multiple trees. Both the driver and back seat passenger were ejected from the vehicle. The front passenger remained secured with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are looking into whether speed and seat belt usage were factors in the crash.
