LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A motorcycle crash in Henderson on Wednesday night resulted in one fatality, according to authorities.
At approximately 9:15 p.m., officers responded to the incident on Stephanie Street near Warm Springs Road. Police reported that the motorcycle rider was traveling north when they collided with the center median and were ejected from the motorcycle.
A driver, unaware that they had struck the rider, reported the accident upon noticing damage to their vehicle. Emergency personnel from Henderson Police Department and Henderson Fire Department performed life-saving measures, but the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Earlier in the evening, the collision prompted closures of both the northbound and southbound lanes of Warm Springs Road and Kelso Dunes Avenue. All lanes were reopened by approximately 12:43 a.m. Thursday, according to Henderson Police.
