BOCA RATON — An 18-year-old was killed in an e-bike crash on West Palmetto Park Road early Tuesday, just hours after celebrating Halloween.

The Boca Raton Police Services Department's Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the incident, which occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on West Palmetto Park Road between Interstate 95 and Military Trail. Authorities said the driver of a 2025 blue Corvette was traveling east when the vehicle struck an electric carrying two passengers.

Kenneth “Kenny” Donahue, a passenger on the e-bike, suffered fatal injuries and was at the scene. The 16-year-old operator of the e-bike was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. The Corvette driver was not injured. Investigators are assessing whether criminal charges will be filed.

Witnesses report that friends of Donahue are mourning his sudden loss. “I was speechless. I was just so devastated,” said Rafaella Gonzalez. Donahue's friends described him as funny, loving, and optimistic, expressing their grief over the void left by his passing.

As family and friends reflect on the future they had envisioned together, they are asking anyone with information about the crash to come forward. Loved ones have set up an email address at info@justiceforkenny.com for tips, and the Boca Raton Police encourage witnesses to contact Officer Gonzalez at 561-419-4124.

Donahue is expected to be laid to rest this Friday.
