CASPER, Wyo. (WKRC) – A 30-year-old Wyoming mother, Kandice Gunter, was found dead in her vehicle Sunday after it left the road, authorities said.
First responders were dispatched to Casper Mountain Road at 9:20 a.m. following reports of a vehicle off the roadway. The vehicle's sole occupant was pronounced dead at the scene by the Casper Police Department.
Gunter was reported missing on Oct. 29. The Natrona County Coroner's Office confirmed her identity. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and the cause of death but have found no evidence of foul play or other involvement.
Gunter was last seen in Natrona County on the morning of Oct. 29. Family members grew concerned when she failed to pick up her two children, ages 9 and 6, from a local Boys & Girls Club, according to reports.
Her sister, Kayla Gunter, noted that it was unusual for her sibling not to arrive for the pickup. “It's totally out of character for her not to show up to get her kids,” she said.
Having recently relocated from Nevada to Casper to be closer to her children, Gunter was described by her sister as “a loving, kindhearted person who had such a good head on her shoulders.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
